Viking Rhine River Cruise Review

We sailed a seven night Rhine River Cruise on the Viking Gersemi departing September 22, 2022. The cruise began in Basel, Switzerland and ended in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

This video is a highlight reel of the ports, dining, and cabin. Plus, I explain why I gave the cruise the rating I did:

Cologne and Strasbourg were my favorite ports. Both cities had so much to explore. They were a wonderful mix of modern and historic. We also had great tour guides in those cities.

The Kinderdijk by barge excursion was my favorite excursion. Getting to meet a miller and witness how generations before him operated windmills to pump water out of fields felt very special.

My favorite meal was the special German dinner. I loved the theme. I loved how they had appetizers on the table and you could request a sampler plate versus having to go through the buffet line. I also loved that they could provide a gluten free sampler plate for my mom including the beer. It was a very fun evening.
