Cruise Question: How to request distilled water?
Bringing a CPAP on a cruise
If you use a CPAP machine, you may need to request distilled water on your next cruise.
I also recommend bringing your own extension cord. You want to make sure the cord is in good condition and does not include a surge protector. Here’s an example of the cord we bring. If you want to order it, click here for my Amazon affiliate link.
Holland America Line - Charge
You can carry it on with your device. Purified or distilled water in factory-sealed containers (including plastic containers) for use in conjunction with medical device(s) are allowed.
As a travel agent, I can request it in advance for you. Holland America does charge for it. It’s about half the price if you pay for it in advance versus ordering it via room service.
Princess Cruise Line - Included
You can request it in advance by emailing: dietaryrequest@princesscruises.com. You can also find it in your Cruise Personalizer under dietary requests. Go to:
Click Booking Details
Choose To do list
Choose Check In
Scroll down
Click Dietary Requests
Enter email and confirm email
Click the check box
You may need to remind your room steward if it’s not in your cabin at embarkation.
Celebrity Cruises - Included
You can bring your own distilled water onboard for medical use. You can also email special_needs@celebrity.com to let them know you are bringing a CPAP onboard and need distilled water.
Royal Caribbean International - Included
You can email special_needs@rccl.com with your reservation number and that you are bringing a CPAP. You can also use the Royal Caribbean Special Needs Form. They recommend you fill it out 30 days in advance.
Carnival Cruise Line - Charge
You can carry on distilled water with your CPAP machine. You can also pre-order distilled water by calling the Fun Shops 1-800-522-7648 Ext. 70039 or purchasing through room service once onboard.
Norwegian Cruise Line - Included
You can fill out the Guest Special Needs Request Form.
Your first point of contact if your room steward if you arrive and distilled water is not in your cabin.
