Cruise Line Drinks Packages

Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Princess, Holland America, Celebrity

The major ocean cruise lines include basic beverages like coffee, tea, filtered water,  juice at breakfast, iced tea, and some type fruit punch or lemonade. 

If you want beer, wine, cocktails, specialty coffees (latte, espresso), or bottled water, it's an extra charge onboard.

Disney Cruise Line and Virgin Voyages also include fountain soda at some locations on the ship. 

Some cruise lines offer beverage packages you can purchase in advance. 

Below I highlight what the beverage packages include or don't include. The beverage packages all have restrictions so be sure to review the fine print on the cruise line's website. The goal of this blog is to give you a general idea. This is always subject to change as pricing, inclusions, and promotions have changed over the years.

Some cruise lines frequently offer the beverage package for "free" as part of a booking promotion. I include which cruise lines do that. 

Carnival Cheers! Package - $59.95 per person per day + 18% gratuity 

• Cocktails, beer and wine included up to $20 per glass. 

• Upgrade Package Available: No 

• Bottled Water Included: Yes

• Specialty Coffee Included: Yes

• Discount on Bottles of Wine: 25%

• Included in Promotions: No 

• Everyone over 21 years old in cabin must purchase if one person purchases. 

• Save 10% if purchased by 11:59 pm the day before embarkation online or by 9:00 pm through the call center. 

• 15 drinks maximum per day

Norwegian Premium Beverage Package - $99 per person per day + 20% gratuity 

• Cocktails, beer and wine included up to $15 per glass. 

• Upgrade Package Available: Yes 

• Bottled Water Included: No

• Specialty Coffee Included: No

• Discount on Bottles of Wine: 20% 

• Beverage packages must be purchased for all guests staying within the same stateroom, additional stateroom, adjoining stateroom or travel with.

• Included in Promotions: Yes 

Royal Caribbean Deluxe Beverage Package - Price varies by sailing and ship 

• Cocktails, beer and wine included up to $13 per glass. 

• Upgrade Package Available: No

• Bottled Water Included: Yes

• Specialty Coffee Included: Yes

• Discount on Bottles of Wine: Receive a 40% discount on bottled wines priced up to $100, and 20% discount on wines priced above $100.

• Deluxe Beverage Package must be purchased by everyone over 21 years of age in a cabin.  Some exemptions apply if you call in. 

• Included in Promotions: No 

Princess Plus Beverage Package - $59.99 per person per day + 18% gratuity

• Cocktails, beer and wine included up $12 to  per glass. 

• Upgrade Package Available: Yes

• Bottled Water Included: Yes

• Specialty Coffee Included: Yes

• 15 alcoholic drinks maximum per day

Holland America Signature Beverage Package $54.95 per person per day + 18% gratuity

• Discount on Bottles of Wine:

• 15 total drinks maximum per day - alcoholic and non-alcoholic 

Celebrity Classic Beverage Package $69 per person per day + 20% gratuity 

• Cocktails, beer and wine included up $11 to  per glass.

• Upgrade Package Available: Yes

• Specialty Coffee Included: Yes

• Discount on Bottles of Wine: 15%

• Included in Promotions: Yes

Disney Cruise and Virgin Voyages do not have inclusive beverage packages.
