Croatia Yacht Cruise Review
Split to Dubrovnik on Ave Maria
In October, we took a seven cruise along the coast of Croatia on the Ave Maria - a Deluxe Superior Yacht booked with Katarina Line. I had been dreaming of it since I first watched the TV show Below Deck on Bravo. It’s a reality show about people who charter very fancy yachts.
Here’s my full review:
We had a great daily schedule: breakfast, morning meeting, sailing and swim stop, lunch, and then, we docked in a new port. We stayed overnight in port. Breakfast and lunch were included each day. This left us free to explore the local towns for dinner.
We visited Bol, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Mljet National Park, and Ston.
My favorite place was Korcula and its gorgeous walled Medieval city.
Three things I didn’t expect:
Stacking: The boats stack one next to each other so you have to walk through other yachts to get to shore.
Formal Lunch: We had a full three course formal lunch every day.
Included Excursions: I expected the included excursions to be simple walking tours. I was very impressed with the tours we took.
